Costume Collection
Peggy Nisbet was a British doll artist who designed her first doll in 1952. From that time, her dolls would be purchsed, loved, and cherished by Britains and Americans alike for more than 40 years. Through the years her aunt, son, daughter, husband, and countless others helped to bring her many dolls to the public. The dolls are made of hard plastic. For these portrait dolls, she carefully researched libraries and even a wax museum, to create life-like replicas of each person and the typical clothes they wore everyday or for an occaision. These dolls are from a very large private collection that was carefully cared for and carefully stored.
