Madame Alexander Dolls

Scarlett Jubilee II Collection

Madame Alexander orginally made dolls for little girls play. They looked like little girls and had different doll outfits that could be purcahsed. Eventually she branched out into dolls that represented characters from popular movies, such as the dolls featured on this page from the movie Gone With The Wind. These dolls have very detailed outfits made of beautiful materials representing different outfits worn in the movie. While we have all of the dolls shown below, we have only one of each. You may learn more about these dolls by clicking on each Doll Details link. We hope you will enjoy viewing, browsing, and shopping for Madame Alexander's special dolls in this collection. As you shop, remember these dolls are from a very large private collection that was carefully cared for and carefully stored.

Madame Alexander originally constructed these dolls with internal bands. These bands age with time and eventually fray or break causing the doll to have loose or completely detached limbs/head. All dolls over the age of 10-15 years should or usually need to have these bands replaced, which is termed restringing. The dolls in this collection are from 25 years upwards to 48 years old.

The typical price on the market to restring one doll is $20-$30 not including packaging and 2-way shippping costs ($25-$40). By restringing our dolls in house we are able to reduce the cost and time you may have to expend after buying a doll somewhere else where dolls are not restrung. Each of these dolls were carefully restrung with no damage to the doll. This insures that you will receive a doll that is in top condition for many more years of enjoyment.
