POLICIES

CONTENT COPYING

1. WE DO NOT ALLOW COPYING THE CONTENTS OF OUR BOOKS.
(We, however, reserve the right to include a page whose instruction gives copying permission for only that page.)

Writing is a profession just like any other career. A writer develops and uses his/her God-given skills and talents to effectively communicate and teach valuable information to the public. The Bible teaches that a laborer is worthy to be paid for this work.

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double respect, especially those who labor in the word and teaching. For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain," and, "the laborer is worthy of his wages." 1Timothy 5:17-18

If you do not completely understand this, try to imagine if your husband's employer decided not to pay him for his work. Could you eat, clothe your children, house them, and keep them warm?

Our staff comes from home school families. They have a special insight into the home school classroom and its education process. We ask that you please respect these authors, editors, artists, and others, whose talents create unique home school books and education materials for students, by obeying copyright laws and our policies.

2. IT IS NOT ETHICAL FOR US TO SUGGEST USING ANY OTHER MEANS TO CIRCUMVENT BUYING ADDITIONAL BOOKS FOR MULTIPLE STUDENTS.

Many customers ask us how they might use our product for multiple students without purchasing additional copies. Please understand that this is not a fair question to ask a publisher. We respect our staff and consider it an ethical as well as a fiduciary responsibility to protect their work and compensate them for their contributions to intellectual property.

COPYRIGHT LAW

All of our intellectual materials (books, blog, videos, web site text, and graphics) are registered with the Copyright Office in Washington D.C., whose job is to verify and aid authors in the case of infractions.

Copying text or artwork for personal use without permission and payment to the publisher, distributing text or artwork to others for free or monetary gain without permission and payment to the publisher, or using text and artwork from our products for other publications is not permitted and is punishable by very large fines and/or jail time.

Renting textbooks and magazines to others without a licensing contract or a royalty contract with the current copyright holder is also a violation of copyright laws.

Copyrighted text and graphics are protected for the life of the author/artist plus 70 years after his/her death. Copyrighted text and graphics may also be willed to descendents, who may obtain new copyrighted coverage.

ORDERING WISDOM

Your children and homeschool are some of the most important things in your life. If you put off ordering your homeschool needs until late in the season, you will surely increase your stress and confusion for the school year.

Make sure you also give yourself enough time to review all of your textbooks and set up your daily lesson plan before the beginning of your school year.

When you receive your textbooks and workbooks do not judge Jesus' wisdom based on appearance, format, or length. Remember Jesus is concerned with scripturally appropriate content, learning effectiveness, and Biblical truth.

When I homeschooled, I prayed a lot and learned to recognize Jesus' answers. Because of this discipline, I never found myself purchasing a single homeschool product that was not what my student needed. This included many times when His answers required me to buy a product or textbook "sight unseen." It also included times when Jesus knew only a portion of a product would be useful to us, but that portion was very important to my son's education and growth. Mrs. Nash

If you order late (after August 15th), due to the high volume of sales at this time, we cannot guarantee shipping times or quick customer service. To be fair to customers, we operate on a "first in, first out" basis.

RETURNS

Jesus knows the needs of each of your children. The best decisions about textbooks and school materials are made through serious prayer to Him, waiting for His wisdom, and acting in faith on His answers.

All returns must be accompanied by a Sales Receipt copy within 30 days of the purchase date. All items must be received in perfect, saleable condition. No markings of any kind are allowed on returned products. Use a strong corrugated box with adequate packaging material.

A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all returns. Additional reductions may also be deducted for damaged items. Return shipping costs will not be reimbursed.

Restocking and damage fees cover post office retrieval, content examination, repairing (if necessary), damage reports, redirecting to the proper storage area or product destruction, order retrieval, order review, order credit, customer credit, customer notification, return and damage reports, and refiling. These activities are performed by employees who must be paid to handle a customer's purchasing mistake.

Having a return policy helps us to keep our prices low for the customer. By each individual being responsible for his/her own order, we do not have to raise prices and impact every customer's wallet to pay for the return processing of others. Jeff-Accounting Manager

REVIEWS

Many of our textbooks have a review, which you may find on their "learn more" page. We did not solicit these reviews, nor did we ask friends or family members to write them. Each one was sent by an individual who had used one of our products, liked it, and wanted to communicate that to us. Some were the result of an individual representing an organization, who also used and liked our products, contacting us to offer a reivew.
